Horror Toy Factory

Guide

The Horror Toy Factory is a Christmas-themed instance in Lutie with four parts. You sneak through the factory dressed as a Christmas Cookie, question the workers, chase down the plant manager Antonio, and then fight the doll Celine Kimi and her Phantom.

How to enter

  • NPC: Catherine Jet Johnson, /navi xmas 237/303. The Factory Dimension Telep portal next to her (/navi xmas 233/305) is the entrance.
  • Level: Base Level 140 or higher.
  • First time: Talk to Catherine and go through her story to accept the quest "Skull-faced Girl". Talk to her again to finish it. After that she offers the instance.
  • Party: You need a party. The party leader picks "Unlock Horror Toy Factory". Then every member enters through the portal.
  • Cooldown: Entering starts a daily cooldown that resets at 04:00 server time ("Trail of Toy Factory"). When it ends, talk to Catherine or the portal once to clear it.
  • You can't talk to these NPCs while you are transformed.

Factory No.1: Disguise and clear the line

  1. The party leader talks to Catherine inside. Pick the story option or "I know your situation. Let's start quickly!".
  2. Three Employees' Uniform Boxes appear. Using one turns you into a Christmas Cookie #1246 for 3 minutes.
  3. The factory floor fills with Vicious Cookie #2989 and Evil Dwelling Box #2991, 67 in total. Kill them until fewer than 30 remain.
  4. Alarm zones cover Factory No.1. If you walk into one while not disguised as a Cookie, 4–6 Corrupt Cruiser #2990 spawn around you. A triggered zone resets after 45 seconds. The zones switch off once the line is cleared.

When enough monsters are dead, the line coordinator (a Cookie NPC) appears at 71/129:

  • The party leader, still disguised as a Cookie, talks to him. This unlocks a box next to him at 65/127.
  • Use that box while you are a Cookie to turn into a Myst Case #1249 for 3 minutes. Only a Myst Case can use the warps at 76/129 and at the end of the conveyor (179/129) into Factory No.2.
  • If someone talks to the coordinator without the Cookie disguise, 11 guards spawn and he disappears for 60 seconds.

Factory No.2: Ask the workers

  1. The party leader talks to Catherine at 185/100. A new Uniform Box appears next to her, which gives a 5 minute Cookie disguise. Malicious Baby Ghost #2993, Evil Dwelling Box #2991, Abandoned Teddy Bear #2995 and Creepy Demon #2992 spawn around the area.
  2. 10 Workers appear around the factory. Talk to each one while disguised as a Cookie and pick "Do you know about the doll maker?". Each worker shares a piece of Kimi's story and then disappears.
  3. If you talk to a worker without the disguise, they call 21 guards. That worker still counts as done.
  4. When all 10 are done, the line shuts down and the warp at 130/178 to the lounge opens.

Factory No.3: Catch Antonio

Walk toward the Captured Santa (around 131/208) to start a cutscene. Afterwards:

Killing Antonio removes the remaining monsters and opens the way to the boss through the warp at 152/208.

Final boss: Celine Kimi and Kimi's Phantom

Walk up to Kimi (around 222/183) to trigger the cutscene. Then Celine Kimi #2996 and Kimi's Phantom #2997 spawn together, each with 20,000,000 HP.

  • Keep their HP even. Every 10 seconds, if one of them has more than 100,000 HP more than the other, the healthier one heals both of them: they are set to its HP plus half the difference. Split your damage evenly and kill them together.
  • Keep Kimi in her room. If Celine Kimi is pulled outside her area (roughly 211–241 / 166–201), the fight resets and both disappear. Walk back to her spot to start again at full HP.
  • Hell's inferno: Every 10 seconds she may either shoot lines of fire in four directions or set up to 21 fire spots around herself (Hell Burning from invisible helpers). Move out of the fire.
  • Both bosses also use Dark Strike, Dark Thunder, Pulse Strike, Max Pain and wide Sleep, Stone and Soul Drain attacks.

When both are dead, the warp at 205/159 opens to the emergency exit.

Rewards

Ten Packaged Presents appear by the exit. Anyone can open them. Every present drops 2–8 Bloody Coin #7642 plus a chance at:

Walk to Catherine near the exit, then use the exit portal at 218/150 and pick "Go outside". You receive 20–40 Instance Points, which count toward the daily 1,200 cap, and you are warped back to Lutie.

Tip

  • Cookie disguises only last 3 minutes (5 minutes from the Factory No.2 box). Re-use a Uniform Box before talking to the coordinator or the workers.
  • Bring your Bloody Coins to the merchants next to Catherine in Lutie: Billy The Golden Hands (xmas 240/291), Vagrant Cain (xmas 240/297) and Black Beard Joe (xmas 240/294).
