Episode 17.1: Illusion

With Terra Gloria back in royal hands, Nyhill sends you to Philopontess (Tes) and the Rebellion. Their new operation goes beyond the barrier in Rudus. From there the trail leads to an enterprise crisis at Regenschirm in Lighthalzen, a smuggling investigation, the old OS facility, and finally the occupied city of Cor, where the Rebellion moves to capture Elyumina.

Level: no extra level check beyond the earlier episodes (Base Level 100+). You need Base Level 130 at the very end to start Episode 17.2. Starts at: your guest room in Prontera Castle, Nyhill M. Heine (/navi prt_cas_q 21/39).

Before you start

Requirement Details
Episode 16.2 Episode 16.2 must be completed (you reported to Philopontess at the Werner Laboratory entrance).
Party Three story instances (Regenschirm, Sealed OS, Cor Memorial) need a party, and the leader creates them.
Combat One step asks you to defeat 30 monsters in Rudus (see step 6).

Episode Skip NPC

The custom Episode Skip NPC in Prontera (/navi prontera 164/163) can skip 17.1 and 17.2 together for one Episode 17 Clear Ticket #1000287 (3rd class only). It marks both as finished, opens Episode 18 and gives some of the story items (no EXP).

Story path

Chapter 1: Beyond the barrier

  1. Enter your guest room in Prontera Castle. A scene plays. Talk to Nyhill M. Heine (/navi prt_cas_q 21/39).
  2. Go to the Cat on Bullet pub in Einbroch (entrance at /navi einbroch 302/329). Talk to Philofontes (/navi pub_cat 93/105). Quest: New Operation. (Optional: the Rebellion Crew at the hidden hideout door in Einbech, /navi einbech 219/80, also points you to the pub. Talking to him is not required.)
  3. Go to the Rudus entrance in the Einbroch field and talk to the Rebellion Crew (/navi ein_fild05 156/288), who takes you into Rudus (sp_rudus). Talk to Elena Volkova (/navi sp_rudus 184/360). Quest: Beyond the Barrier.
  4. Rookie next to the barrier (/navi sp_rudus 193/284). Quest: Barrier Investigation.

  5. Investigate all three spots. The order does not matter:

    • Rebellion Crew (/navi sp_rudus 304/266), Wall on Barrier
    • Rebellion Crew (/navi sp_rudus 122/286), Watchtower
    • Small Hole (/navi sp_rudus 27/300), Small Hole

    Quest: Report to Lucky. 6. Rookie (/navi sp_rudus 193/284). Use the Firmly Closed Gate (/navi sp_rudus 197/282) to jump over the barrier, then defeat 10 Dolor #20361, 10 Venenum #20363 and 10 Twin Caput #20365 in Rudus. Quest: Investigate the Strange Sounds. 7. Elena Volkova (/navi sp_rudus 184/360). You receive 800,000 Base / 800,000 Job EXP and 15 Cor Core #25723. Quest: Report to Tes.

Chapter 2: Enterprise crisis

  1. Philofontes at the Cat on Bullet (/navi pub_cat 93/105). Quest: Unexpected Guest.
  2. Talk to the Retired Rebellion (/navi pub_cat 104/106) to enter the back room. Talk to Philofontes (/navi pub_cat 160/102), then to the Middle-Aged Man (/navi pub_cat 163/102). Quest: Enterprise Crisis.
  3. Republic Guard in western Lighthalzen (/navi lighthalzen 56/270). Quest: Reclaim Regenschirm.
  4. Rekenber Guard Oscar (/navi lighthalzen 55/278). As party leader, create and enter the Regenschirm instance and clear it.
  5. Philofontes at the Cat on Bullet (/navi pub_cat 93/105). You receive 800,000 Base / 800,000 Job EXP and 25 Mysterious Component #25669. Quest: Ventilation.

Chapter 3: The smuggling investigation

  1. In the pub's lower area, walk to /navi pub_cat 107/65 and talk to Lazy (/navi pub_cat 106/69). Quest: Meet with Father Bamph.
  2. Lazy (/navi pub_cat 105/58). Quest: Meet with Larjes.
  3. Kaya Tos (/navi pub_cat 109/71). Quest: Report to Father Bamph.
  4. Lazy (/navi pub_cat 105/58). You receive 300,000 Base / 300,000 Job EXP. Quest: Travel to Rachel.
  5. Lazy at the Einbroch airport area (/navi einbroch 42/208). He takes you to Lighthalzen. Quest: Travel to Veins.
  6. Lazy in Lighthalzen (/navi lighthalzen 259/215). He moves you to the slums. Quest: Frustrated Magistrate.
  7. Lazy in the slums (/navi lighthalzen 336/266). Quest: Interrogated Smugglers.
  8. Lazy outside the Rekenber headquarters (/navi lighthalzen 108/163). Quest: Written Orders.
  9. Inside the headquarters (lhz_in01), talk to the Staff (/navi lhz_in01 107/137). Quest: Investigating.
  10. Staff in the conference room (/navi lhz_in01 163/258). Quest: More Investigating.
  11. Go into the Regenschirm building (rgsr_in, through the gate at /navi lighthalzen 53/279). Talk to the Laboratory Staff (/navi rgsr_in 161/85). Quest: Further Investigations.
  12. Staff (Sammy) (/navi rgsr_in 12/46). Quest: Kurdi's Father.
  13. Back in the headquarters, talk to the Secretary in the office (/navi lhz_in01 80/210). Quest: Karyn's Boat.
  14. Staff in the document storage room (/navi lhz_in01 32/264). Quest: To the Island.
  15. Go to the McDonald Laboratory in the Einbroch field (ein_fild01). Walking near /navi ein_fild01 91/133 plays a scene. Talk to Kaya Tos (/navi ein_fild01 95/146). You receive 600,000 Base / 600,000 Job EXP and 20 Cor Core #25723. Quest: Investigating the Island.

Chapter 4: Old memories

  1. Philofontes at the Cat on Bullet (/navi pub_cat 93/105). Quest: Second Operation.
  2. Rebellion Crew in the Einbroch field (/navi ein_fild03 278/269). Quest: Old Memories.
  3. Visit the three memory spots in this order: /navi ein_fild03 347/219, then /navi ein_fild03 268/207, then /navi ein_fild03 218/266. Each one points you to the next.
  4. Rebellion Crew (/navi ein_fild03 278/269). Choose "I'm going inside." You receive 100,000 Base / 100,000 Job EXP.
  5. With the same NPC, as party leader, open the gate to the Sealed OS instance, enter and clear it.
  6. Rebellion Crew in the Rebellion hideout (/navi rebel_in 68/41). Dien is having tea in her room upstairs.
  7. Open the Ornament Box in Dien's room (/navi rebel_in 161/91). You take Dien's Precious Envelope #25665.
  8. Use the gate at /navi ein_fild03 288/270 to enter the OS area (sp_os). Find Dien (/navi sp_os 252/359) and hand over the picture. You receive 200,000 Base / 100,000 Job EXP, and you are moved to Cor (sp_cor).

Chapter 5: Cor

  1. Advance Squad member (/navi sp_cor 168/81). Quest: The Research Note.
  2. Kaya (/navi sp_cor 165/79). Quest: Regicide.
  3. Tes (/navi sp_cor 166/81). Quest: Reporting the King's Death.
  4. Tes at the safe place (/navi sp_cor 122/141). Quest: Status of patients.
  5. Aas (/navi sp_cor 135/147). You receive 300,000 Base / 300,000 Job EXP. Quest: Urgent situation.
  6. Elena Volkova (/navi sp_cor 110/130). Quest: Golden Troublemaker.
  7. Elena Volkova (/navi sp_cor 180/169). Quest: Operation of Elyumina.
  8. With the same Elena, as party leader, create and enter Cor Memorial. Overpower EL1-A17T inside.
  9. Talk to Elena Volkova (/navi sp_cor 180/169) again (Elyumina Secured), then talk to her once more. You receive a Base EXP lump equal to 10% of a level-110 level-up, 850,000 Job EXP, 1 Damaged Weapon #25668 and 5 Cor Core #25723. Quest: Pure Wicked.
  10. Goni (/navi sp_cor 136/210). Quest: Pure Violence.
  11. Rookie (/navi sp_cor 135/216). He points you to the waterway. Quest: Pure Facts.
  12. Rookie at the waterway (/navi sp_cor 255/285). You receive a Base EXP lump equal to 15% of a level-110 level-up and 1,200,000 Job EXP. This completes Episode 17.1.

Finishing the story unlocks:

  • Episode 17.2 (Sage's Legacy): the same Rookie (/navi sp_cor 255/285) offers it once you are Base Level 130.
  • Free access to Rudus beyond the barrier, the OS area and Cor, with their daily quests.

After the story

  • Morning in Rudus (/navi sp_rudus 130/200) asks for 10 of a random item for breakfast. Reward: 750,000 Base / 750,000 Job EXP, 5 Mysterious Component #25669 and 1 Cor Core #25723, then a daily cooldown that resets at 04:00 server time.
  • Aas in Cor (/navi sp_cor 135/147) offers a hunting request in Rudus (Rudus: 20 Dolor #20361). Bring back 10 Identification Bracelet #25666 for 200,000 Base / 200,000 Job EXP, 1 Cor Core #25723 and 5 Mysterious Component #25669, then a daily cooldown that resets at 04:00 server time.
  • Kaya Tos at the safe place (/navi sp_cor 137/146) and the Cor workers have more side requests. Kaya's chain ends with 600,000 Base / 600,000 Job EXP and 20 Cor Core #25723.
