Tomb of Remorse

Guide

Tomb of Remorse (also called "Tomb of Confession" in its announcements) is a short three-area instance. You lay the restless dead of Princess Tiara's castle to rest, defeat Princess Tiara #20893 and finish with Magic Swordsman Sakray #20892. Its main reward is Minneas #1000367, earned from four quests reported to the Repentant Marquis at the end.

Requirements and entry
Level Base Level 220 or higher
Party Required. Only the party leader can create the instance and trigger the boss events.
NPC Princess Tiara at /navi dali02 78/116
Cooldown Once per day. Entering starts the cooldown, which resets at 04:00 server time.

The leader picks Create Tomb of Remorse, then everyone picks Enter Tomb of Remorse. Entering also gives you any of the four instance quests (see Rewards) that you don't already have and that aren't on cooldown.

Walkthrough

Area 1: The hall

  • An Undead Noble #20899 waits north of the entrance with 12 Undead Servant #20900. Only the Noble has to die. Killing it opens a warp portal in the north (around 1@spa2 51/259).
  • Pick up the memory fragments in this area before you leave (see Rewards).

Area 2: Tiara's chamber

  • 30 undead spawn: Undead Archer #20896, Undead Wizard #20897 and Undead Magician #20898. Kill them all.
  • Princess Tiara #20893 then appears. Kill her, staying close together: party members need to be nearby to get credit for the "Tears of Sorrow" quest.
  • Sakurai appears. The leader talks to him to play a short scene with Himmelz. A portal then opens in the upper left of the area (around 1@spa2 210/254).

Area 3: The castle grounds

Rewards

Talk to the Repentant Marquis (around 1@spa2 211/81) to turn in your quests:

Quest (menu option) Requirement Reward Cooldown after turn-in
Severing Fate Kill Magic Swordsman Sakray #20892 10 times (counts across runs) Minneas #1000367 x10 Until the next 04:00 reset
Tears of Sorrow Kill Princess Tiara #20893 8 times (counts across runs) Minneas #1000367 x8 Until the next 04:00 reset
Shattered Memories The party collects all 5 Memory Fragments in this run Minneas #1000367 x1 Until the next 04:00 reset
Shattered Past The party finds the special Memory Fragment near Princess Tiara's memory Minneas #1000367 x1 Until the next 04:00 reset

Memory Fragment locations:

  • Shattered Memories (5): 1@spa2 74/211, 1@spa2 83/255 (area 1) and 1@spa2 215/245, 1@spa2 230/252, 1@spa2 201/254 (area 2)
  • Shattered Past (1): 1@spa2 28/226 (area 1). Clicking it plays a short memory of Princess Tiara.

Each fragment can be clicked only once per run, by anyone in the party, and counts for the whole party. Every member can then claim the two fragment quests.

Leaving through the exit portal next to the Marquis gives 20 to 40 Instance Points and warps you to Prontera, so claim your quest rewards first.

Exchange: spend Minneas #1000367 at the Marquis of Remorse at /navi dali02 78/112. He offers jewel, weapon and reform-material exchanges, plus the Thanatos helmet enchant.
