Episode 14.3: Dimensional Travel

Demon God Morocc has fled into the Flame Basin (moro_vol), a burning world inside the Dimensional Crack. The Midgard Alliance, the Laphine of Eclage and the Dicastes have set up a joint camp there. In this episode you follow the adventurer Tamarin into the Basin, help the camp's researchers, open the cave in the central hill (moro_cav), and lead the final assault on the Temple of the Demon God.

  • Level: Base Level 140 to start; Base Level 160 for the cave instances and the final chapter.
  • Starts at: a pile of rags in Morocc, /navi morocc 138/238.

Before you start

  • Base Level 140 to start Dimensional Travel. Base Level 160 for Isle of Bios, Morse's Cave, Commander Hibba Agip's mission and the Temple of the Demon God.
  • Bring 1 Monster's Feed #528 for the very first step.
  • Chapter 3 is done in parties. Isle of Bios, Morse's Cave and the Temple of the Demon God are opened by a party leader.
  • Several NPCs refuse to talk to you if your bag is too full. Free some weight and slots first.

Story path

Chapter 1: Dimensional Travel

  1. Piled Rags, Morocc, /navi morocc 138/238. Choose "Remove it.", then "Shake the rags." Quest log: Dimensional Travel.
  2. Talk to the rags again with a Monster's Feed #528 and choose "Give Monster's Feed." The man underneath is Tamarin.
  3. Keep talking. Choose "Tell him the place.", then "Accompany him."
  4. Tamarin, at the oasis by the northwestern sphinx, /navi moc_ruins 106/140. Choose "I'm listening.", then "Tell him you want to tag along."
  5. Tamarin, at the Dimensional Crack, /navi dali 112/69.
  6. Find the Sand Mound on the second floor, /navi dali02 90/62, and choose "Enter." You arrive in the Flame Basin and Dimensional Travel completes.

Getting back to the Basin

Once you have reached the Basin, the Sand Mound at /navi moro_vol 137/136 takes you back to dali02, and the dali02 mound sends you in again. Once you have spoken to Tamarin inside the Basin (the first step of chapter 2), the Interdimensional Device in Eclage (/navi ecl_in01 38/98) also takes you to the camp. The Eclage Teleporter at /navi moro_vol 91/105 takes you back to Eclage.

Chapter 2: Specimen Collection and Antidote

  1. Tamarin, /navi moro_vol 132/140. Quest log: Specimen Collection.
  2. Barget Tiblack, /navi moro_vol 142/131. He wants you to investigate 20 Fire Pit #3026 and bring 50 Burning Bug Skin #6689, which drop from Fire Bug #3027.
  3. Bring both to Barget Tiblack.
  4. Tamarin, /navi moro_vol 132/140. Hunt 25 Sonia #3028 and collect 25 Yummy Stem #6690.
  5. Meet Tamarin by the big rock in the centre, /navi moro_vol 198/179.
  6. Barget Tiblack, with the 25 stems still in your bag. He tells you about the noxious gas from the central rock. Quest log: Antidote.
  7. Instructor Rugen, at the camp clinic, /navi moro_vol 105/71. Choose "Talk to him.", then "Give Sonia stems." He takes the 25 stems.
  8. Intoxicated Patient, /navi moro_vol 104/70.
  9. Instructor Rugen again. He gives you a report for Dr. Tiblack.
  10. Barget Tiblack. You receive 1,500,000 Job EXP and the Antidote quest completes.
  11. Tamarin at the central rock, /navi moro_vol 198/179. Choose "Enter." to go into the cave (moro_cav).

50 or 25 Sonias?

Barget's dialogue asks for 50 Sonias, but the quest only needs 25 Sonia kills and 25 Yummy Stems.

Chapter 3: Hunting Morocc

All three of these are party instances inside moro_cav, and each needs Base Level 160.

  1. Isle of Bios: the Yellow Seed at /navi moro_cav 50/64 (the Wandering Old Man at /navi moro_cav 45/60 explains it). Clear it and talk to Vrid at the end. You receive a Token Of Hero #6684, and clearing it once unlocks Morse's Cave.
  2. Morse's Cave: the party leader talks to the Senior Tracker (/navi moro_cav 61/69). Everyone enters through the Red Flower (/navi moro_cav 57/69). Quest log: Pursuing Hiding Morocc.
  3. Come out and report to the Senior Tracker. If you defeated the Morocc Necromancer #3000 you also get a Token Of Hero #6684. Reporting is what unlocks the commander's mission, even if Morocc got away.
  4. Commander Hibba Agip, at the Alliance camp, /navi moro_vol 108/88. Choose "I'll do it." Quest log: Demon God Subjugation.

Chapter 4: Temple of the Demon God

  1. With your party, the leader talks to Guardian Nidhogg at /navi moro_cav 41/73 to open the Temple of the Demon God. Members enter through the Yggdrasil Lookalike tree at /navi moro_cav 45/75. Everyone who enters needs the Demon God Subjugation quest.
  2. Defeat Despair God Morroc #3097 inside the temple.
  3. Talk to Guardian Nidhogg or the tree again. Quest log: Fall of the False God.
  4. Report to Commander Hibba Agip, /navi moro_vol 108/88. On your first clear you receive an Expedition Award Box #22567, a Darklord Soulpiece #6715 and 1,000,000 Base / 500,000 Job EXP. Quest log: Caged God.
  5. Bring the Darklord Soulpiece to Guardian Nidhogg at the Laphine camp, /navi moro_vol 94/110, and choose "Give the Soul Shard." She announces your victory, and the whole server gets +10% Base, Job and quest EXP for about one hour. If that bonus is already running, she asks you to come back later and keeps nothing.

The story opens the Flame Basin, the moro_cav cave and three instances: Isle of Bios, Morse's Cave and the Temple of the Demon God.

After the story

  • Temple of the Demon God, repeatable: after the daily wait (Caged God, resets at 04:00 server time), Hibba Agip gives you the subjugation quest again. Each later clear pays an Expedition Award Box and 1,000,000 Base / 500,000 Job EXP.
  • Camp dailies (each once a day; the cooldown resets at 04:00 server time):
    • Instructor Igrid, /navi moro_vol 111/87 (Base 140+): kill Blazing Morocc Reincarna #3039, Distorted Morocc Reincar #3040 and Freezing Morocc Reincarn #3041 for 1,000,000 Base / 800,000 Job EXP.
    • Adjutant Abidal, /navi moro_vol 110/90 (Base 160+, during Demon God Subjugation): kill Brinaranea #3091 and Muspellskoll #3092 in the temple for an Expedition Award Box.
    • Hishieh (/navi moro_vol 95/108) and the Magic Scholar (/navi moro_vol 98/107): mana and orb tasks for players who finished the Eclage (Episode 14.2) storyline.
    • Jeruth Hesranta, /navi moro_vol 136/84 (Base 140-160): Bradium box collection for players who did the Episode 13.3 Dicastes quests.
  • Flaming Basin and Doom Prayers: a separate Base 150+ quest line starting at the Base Investigator, /navi moro_vol 131/103.

Coming from Episode 14.2?

If you finished the Eclage storyline, talk to Hishieh and the Magic Scholar (Avant) at the Laphine camp once. That closes the 14.2 thread and unlocks their dailies.
