Iwin Patrol¶
Guide¶
Iwin Patrol is the Episode 19 daily of the Eagle Patrol in Isgard's Ice Castle. You do not fight anything required: you walk the patrol route with four Iwin soldiers across the Frozen Scale area, passing five checkpoints, and get a big chunk of EXP, Snow Flower #1000608 and Isgard reputation at the end.
Entering¶
- Unlock: at the matching step of the Episode 19 main quest, talk to the Captain of Patrol at
/navi icecastle 23/115and sign the papers to become an honorary member of the Eagle Patrol. - Party: needed, even if you go alone. The party leader talks to the Captain and picks Report the number of patrols to create the instance; everyone then picks I will go on patrol.
- Cooldown: the reward starts [Standby] Patrol with Irwin, which ends at the next 04:00 server time. While it runs you can still join a party's patrol, but you get no reward.
- Time limit: 1 hour.
- Inventory: the Captain refuses to talk if you are carrying too much.
Do not abandon a patrol
Entering marks you as "on patrol". If you talk to the Captain again before finishing (for example after leaving the instance), he cancels it and puts you on the daily cooldown with no reward.
Walkthrough¶
1. Start the patrol. Talk to the Guard Captain next to the entrance. He leaves, and the four Iwin soldiers set off on the patrol route, chatting as they go.
2. Walk with the patrol. Five invisible checkpoints lie along the route. Each one only counts for you after the patrol has reached that part of the route, and they must be passed in order:

The easiest way is simply to stay with the soldiers until the end. If you run ahead, a checkpoint you cross too early does not count and you have to come back to it.
3. Report in. When the patrol nears the end, the Guardmaster appears at the end of the route (around 301, 315). Wait until the soldiers announce their arrival, then talk to him.
One Shining Seaweed, one Ice Gangu and one Ice Straw roam the area. They are not part of the patrol.
Rewards¶
The Guardmaster rewards each player who passed all five checkpoints:

He then offers to take you back to the Ice Castle. Exit warps also stand at the entrance and at two points along the route.
Side quest: Do not Feed Wildlife¶
If you have this Ice Castle daily, ten patches of Something (dirt) along the route can be searched. Each search is 50% plain dirt, 10% five bugs that attack you, and 40% a Monster's Feed #528, which completes the step; bring it to Supply Officer Gorir. A searched patch comes back after 30 seconds.
